Sounds like a done deal for milenkovic and we’ve beaten Spurs to sign him

Re: milenkovic
Agents fees should be regulated as a set amount or a small percentage. And paid by the player they are working for.

Can remember when Leeds were relegated and trying to sell Harry Kewell and had an offer of about £7m I think.
His agent turned up and told them he was going to Liverpool for £5m. And £3m of that was going to him

Re: milenkovic
I think the player should have seen this without the need of last nights performance, fuck him and move on.........we want players who have an idea of what is going on here and want to be part of it and won't let agents get in their way. If do want agents in the way then we are buying a mercenary.

Re: milenkovic
Hopefully Milenkovic watched that last night and has been on the blower to his agent this morning saying wtf have you done.

Can't have done our chances any harm with any targets we might have for this week.

Re: milenkovic
But he's worth more now, a bigger cut for both agent and player when he does move.

They're really in a win win situation

Re: milenkovic
What I can't understand is why players tolerate agents like the one Milenkovic has. Basically his greedy scumbag agent has single-handedly scuppered what would have been a prestigious move in which he would have more or less doubled his salary. Leeches like this need to be driven out of football.

Re: milenkovic
I can’t understand why the players don’t have to pay their own agents fees, after all the agents working for the player so why do the clubs have to pay his fees.
Also I can’t understand why the players let the agents get away with it. When De Ligt was at Ajax he wanted to go to Barca but the agent wouldn’t let him speak to Barca because they wouldn’t give him £5m

Agent gets paid for the new contract too

Re: milenkovic
Bloody hell he would rather sign a new contract than sign for spurs.

Re: milenkovic
If we'd agreed terms with Milenkovic as reported I can't believe our wage structure would allow him to be on much more then 100 K per week, (i.e. 5 million per year).

Could it be feasible for an agent to demand the equivalent of two years salary? It's not unfeasible that the player could be off to another club in that time, at which point the agent is effectively earning as much as the player.

Maybe outdated, but didn't historically agents take 10% of the player's salary as their fee?

Re: milenkovic
What does an agent do that justifies £11m fee?

One sale and you can retire.

Greedy fucking cunts.

£11 mill by some accounts, to oil the palm of some greasy shit cunt agent.

I'm glad the dildo boys sent him packing.

Sounds like he’s now staying and extending his contract with Fiorentina!!

Re: milenkovic
A five million pound agents fee can easily become five million every year if a dodgy agent decides to move his player along as often as possible.

nychammer 4:39 Wed Aug 18
Re: milenkovic
only 5 million right. I know agents are bloodsucking cunts but someone will pay it and who knows but maybe they'll end up with an asset worth multiples of that.

Re: milenkovic
Transfer called off now two bobs weren’t willing to pay his agent fee.

But they are more than happy to take £10m interest payment from the club every year.

Re: milenkovic
The Haller money paid for Haller as we were defaulting on his original transfer fee.

Have we sold anyone else? Saving money on wages won't be seen as available cash I'm sure.

All that could just as easily be attributed to ineptitude.

Much more likely given the fuckwits in charge. We at least know that we have had money in from past transfers and higher than expected money from our league placing.

Neither would completely surprise me, but we are far less likely to be skint imo.

Re: milenkovic
We're doing a very good impression of one if we're not.

Why are we the ONLY club to have signed 0 outfield players of note this season?

Why do we have a WEAKER squad this season after our highest finish in years than last season?

If we're blaming Moyes for that, as the money is there, then he needs to go surely?

Only a terrible manager would think about 13 or 14 decent players could get through 50 odd hopefully 60 games this season.

Unless we have no intention of playing that many of course?
